Preschoolers will become increasingly independent with the support and care of the teachers. The curriculum will focus of all the developmental areas to nurture the growth of the child and prepare him/her for kindergarten. The preschool classroom will have a balance between child-directed and teacher-directed activities. During circle time the children will engage in singing songs, finger plays, reading stories, telling stories, playing games, moving to music, a group learning activity that may coincide with other activities going on in the classroom, introduction to calendar and talking about the weather. Preschoolers will participate in small group experiences that give children an opportunity to focus on one developmental area expanding their experiences and strengthening their skills.
